- Create a new spreadsheet workbook in
Excel.
- Enter 15, 20, 60, 30 in row 1 (cells
A1-D1).
- Save your spreadsheet as
lastname ss01.
- Insert a new row of cells at the
very top of the spreadsheet. (i.e., push row 1 down one row.)
- Delete the column
that has the value 60 in it. (Note: Be sure to delete the entire
column and not just the cell.)
- Copy the three remaining cells.
- Use the Transpose option in Paste
Special to put the three cells into a column instead of a row. (Hint:
Select cell A3 before selecting Paste Special.)
- Delete cells A1 (it should be empty)
and A2 and shift cells up so that the three values are in A1-A3.
Delete columns B and C.
- Save and close your file.
