- Create a new spreadsheet.
- Enter the following set of data in
cells A1_D6.

- Insert a row at the top of the
spreadsheet (i.e., above the current Row 1). Enter Charger
Basketball in cell A1.
- Select cell A1. Change the font size
to 18, the style to Bold, and the text color to
blue.
- Change the row height to allow the
label to fit the cell (if necessary).
- Save this file on your H: Drive as
lastname ss03.
- Highlight cells A2-D2. Change the
format to Bold. Change the alignment to
Center.
- Highlight the players' names
(A3-A7). Change the format to Bold and the text
color to red.
- Adjust column widths to allow text
to fit (if necessary).
- Highlight the 3 columns of stats
(B3-D7)
- Change the number format to show
1 decimal place.
- In cell B8 determine the
total number of points for the 5 players.
- In cells B9-D9 determine the
averages for Pts/Game, FG Pct. and FT Pct.
- Save your work.
- Change the Number format of cells
B8-D9 (if necessary) to show 2 decimal places.
- In cell A8 type Total. In
cell A9 type Avg. Change the alignment of these cells to
Right.
- Highlight cells A8-D9. Set the
format to Bold.
- Add a border to separate rows 7 and
8. Tip: Highlight cells A8-D8. Set a Top
border for these cells.
- Sort your data so that the players
names are in alphabetical order. Remember to
select all necessary cells before sorting.
- Copy cells A2-D9. Select cell A14
and Paste. This will paste a duplicate set of player statistics.
- Using the second set of stats, sort
the data based on the FT Pct. Sort in Descending
order so that the player with the highest FT Pct. is listed first,
and so on.
- Save this file before going to the
next exercise.
